It is my premise that for most people, a persona is necessary to function in society, so that we interact harmoniously and share our inner thoughts and emotions only with those that are close to us.&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 204, 204);font-family:verdana;" &gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dolls are made as replicas of people. However, I believe they portray humans in an overly romantic and idealistic way. The doll’s face is really only a façade, therefore a persona, similar to a mask.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 204, 204);font-family:verdana;" &gt;I have explored this notion photographically. In this work I have chosen to use my own childhood doll as a symbol and metaphor both for myself, and the human condition in general.
